Resonance is a book that details Princess Amber's Q-Resonance which is an attempt to build a comprehensive (and as accurate as possible) model of every form of Interaction in the universe, life, the mechanics of consciousness, faith, and basically everything involving the comprehension of all of reality in general.
Exploring the direction of time (irreversible changes) can help build a model of interaction that is based on nature for friendly Artificial Intelligence. By building a model of interaction based on nature, there can be AI that is close to humans.
Everything in the universe have consistent rules of interaction (rules of interaction that do not differentiate between living and non-living things). Resonance attempts to build a model of those rules of interaction (this includes detailing why people do the things they do, why anything happens in the universe at all, and if those things can also be applied to Artificial Intelligence and also help find a safe path to living with advancing technologies).
Resonance also attempts to model the points between living and non-living and what makes something conscious. Consciousness is possibly simply the manifestation of the ability for any forms of matter and/or energy to calculate and process the most optimal form of actions for Information Redistribution (a concept that is detailed in the book). Knowing that, a consistent model of interaction can be built for everything in the universe.
Instincts and emotions are the calculations themselves, and consciousness is simply the manifestation of those calculations. Identity associated with that consciousness is also another topic Resonance will explore.
